Searching for another place to host art

Hello! This might sound strange, but I'm actually looking for another site (apart from DA) which I might host my art on, for a few reasons:

1) Critique. I guess I'm a masochist, but I really loved the good ol' days of DA when people gave me hints and tips to improve on my art. Don't get me wrong! I :heart: love :heart: it when people drop a comment just saying "I like it!" It really makes my day :hug:

2) I'm getting more faves than comments (1 comment for every 10 faves?) so it kinda makes me feel like DA is becoming a "factory" site, where you stand in rows with your art in front of you and people use a marker to put a tick on your face if they like your art, and make a copy of your art to take home.

I'm not saying I didn't have good times, I did meet a lot of fantastic people, and till today they are still producing fantastic art here. So, I'm trying to look for an art community (not so well known ones, with an older population) where i can host my art. It will be good if it's a Japanese or Chinese community, as I (old foggy that I am) would like critique. And a sense of "home" and "warmth".

I will still be here on DA, but I guess it doesn't matter as I'm not a fantastic artist making great contributions, like :iconkurot: or :iconheise:.

I don't know if I'm making much sense. Sigh.

Really? Sweet! Wish I could... as soon as I save up some good money 'cause it's really expensive to get to China from here in the UK. I've already completed Okami. It was very hard but I made it through with a guide. Thanks for the support! :hug:

Oh, I just returned from a 5-month exchange in China! Singapore's a-ways off from China, no chance of me going back there anytime soon :( Enjoy your trip, shopping in Shanghai is cheap! Just be careful, they tend to raise the prices for Caucasians. Oh, I used to perform lion dance! I looked thru your gallery, neat stuff :D
